Guest eagle eye Posted September 11, 2013 Posted September 11, 2013 Is it already week 3 of the college season? Wow, how time flies. This is the biggest game of the season so far and the pressure is all on Alabama isn't it? They are the 2-time defending champs and they are facing the only team to beat them in recent memory in Texas A&M. Can TAMU do it again? Will Alabama have an answer for Johnny Manziel? A&M is at home so it will be advantage Aggies. Will Nick Saban have a plan to stop Manziel? Can the Crimson Tide avoid the turnovers that killed them last year? Should be a good game. What do you predict the outcome will be? I have to think about this for a bit before I decide on who I think will win. Tough call here. Quote

Guest eagle eye Posted September 16, 2013 Posted September 16, 2013 A lot of the time events that get hyped to the max don't deliver in proportion to that hype but yesterday's game wasn't one of those occasions. Manziel played a really good game and did things to Alabama's defense that nobody has done in years but in the end it was his two miscues that did TAMU in. Actually, it was one miscue by Manziel with the INT for the TD 'Bama torched him for in the 3rd quarter but the second quarter INT wasn't really on Maziel it was on his receiver for not running through the route, a fade route in the end zone. That was a really big play because if TAMU scores they go up 21-7. Instead 'Bama takes over at their 20 and marches straight down for a tying TD. A huge 14 point swing in the game. The real surprise was how well A J McCarren played. He showed he's a big time money QB in the biggest game of the season to date. Maziel didn't do anything to be ashamed of and his Heisman hopes are still alive but maybe McCarren has some Heisman aspirations now too. In the end the TAMU defense is one unit that came up lacking, they just couldn't stop 'Bama's offense. Quote
