austin badbyrd Posted November 3, 2013 Posted November 3, 2013 This explains the suspensions....a bit: http://www.beaumontenterprise.com/sports/article/Twenty-Lamar-players-sit-out-first-half-against-4950527.php Quote
puddin tane Posted November 3, 2013 Posted November 3, 2013 No mention or murrill or mcvey? Suspended or hurt? Knew something was weird when I saw KJ playing safety Quote
LU 17 Posted November 3, 2013 Posted November 3, 2013 I also saw Logan Moss giving it his all. The kid was running down running backs 30 yards downfield. KJ looked like the stud that he is on kickoff returns, but as a safety...well he needs some more seasoning. I give him credit, he was out there giving it good effort. Just a thought, if KJ had intercepted a pass with all that open space...that would have fun to watch. Quote
WOS95 Posted November 3, 2013 Posted November 3, 2013 i like the move by RayRay...first thing, imo, to having a good football team is to have disipline...hold the players accountable for their actions...u dont act right..u dont play... Quote

Damm16 Posted November 4, 2013 Posted November 4, 2013 I feel like Coach Ray W. should have stayed with the group that started until the showed that the could not handle the pressure. The kick off return team that block for KJ in the 1st half the replacement players did a better job than all the starting players this season so far.? Our safety #1 was beaten several time against SELA and at least (4) time this game, his replacement #12 the young man form Whitehouse stepped up made tackles and gave better efforts in both game giving the time he played. It also looked to me that Nicholls State Off-team move the ball quicker and for more yards once the starters returned some turnovers via Nicholls St. part made them look better than their play. Oh yes but Coach K. still running plays to the short side of the field on 3rd downs go figure.. ??? Quote

I wish he would put on about 25 - 30 lbs of muscle...he could be very good! (He wears number 91...a la Kerrigan for the Redskins? Maybe Kerrigan could put him on his weight program.) Quote
NorthoftheBorder Posted November 4, 2013 Posted November 4, 2013 I support Woodard's decision! He needs to have control and the players need to come ready!! Can't do it without discipline!! Quote
puddin tane Posted November 5, 2013 Posted November 5, 2013 from what i've heard...discipline hasnt been very high on the list Ray may be tired of the crap Quote
Card Nation Posted November 5, 2013 Posted November 5, 2013 I think sitting 20 players the first half took a lot of courage given the fact that Lamar was in a must win situation. I don't know if i would have done that. It seamed to energize the whole team though. Sometimes you just need a kick in the pants i guess. Lets hope it carries into the next game.
