Hanna, a redshirt sophomore, will be the starting tight end when the Lamar University football team opens the season against Texas College. "It's been a while, but it seems like just yesterday I was playing high school football," the Lumberton graduate said. "I'm glad it's finally here." Hanna redshirted his first season at NCAA Division II West Texas A&M. Then he gave up a season of playing eligibility to transfer closer to home.
