Cplatt Posted July 30, 2014 Posted July 30, 2014 Did they keep the same jersey scheme? I am assuming so because i dont think we generate enough revenue to change each year. Also are they ever going back to the names on the back? Made the jerseys alot better looking. Cplatt Quote
LU Cardinal Posted August 2, 2014 Posted August 2, 2014 They've changed the uniforms a number of times since bringing back football but they removed the names a couple seasons ago. I am with you and wish they'd bring them back. It looks more professional and i'd bet the kids like it more. Quote
Twin Daddy Posted August 3, 2014 Posted August 3, 2014 I agree on putting the names back on the uniforms. It's far better for casual fans; heck, even dedicated fans end up having to check the program a dozen times a game. And I agree that the uniforms look far more balanced and "professional" with the names. I *think* (perhaps incorrectly) that they pulled them off a few years ago to get the team to "focus on the team instead of individuals", but, with all due respect to the coaching staff, I consider this to be baloney. If a player is more interested in his own personal performance than that of the team, you've got a problem far bigger than one that will be solved by a symbolic gesture. Quote

Half right...they were taken off to build the team aspect and due to the fact no Cards were named to 1st or 2nd team preseason All-SLC http://www.beaumontenterprise.com/sports/lamar/article/Lamar-takes-surnames-off-football-jerseys-3848921.php Quote
