Vroo Posted September 11, 2011 Posted September 11, 2011 I want to add that I also don't think this was a talent difference (except for maybe at RB, they have some good RB's) we just didn't come to play football. We were't mentally prepared for this game at all. I did say we need talent. I guess I should have said we need the best talent on the field. I think that would have been a better statement. There is talent on this team it just needs to be used in the best possible way. But even in last weeks game there were still a lot of mistakes. I get the whole weather thing but this is two weeks in a row where we have given them way to much free yardage in the way of penalties. If we can't move the ball better than tonight this will make for a very long season. There were big plays given up on D but I would imagine our guys were wore down after having four plays to rest each time they left the field. I think moving the chains and limiting penalties will be a crucial aspect to get fixed immediately. If these two things can't be accomplished I don't care how great your D is you will surrender points. Look at and I'm sorry to mention them again but the Ducks last year. They gave up a lot of points but could put up 45-60 points a game with the exception of the last game last year and the first this year. Our guys have to be able to move the ball eat up clock score and score often. Quote
