THERE TRANSITIONING FROM NAIA TO D2.SO FAR THERE 0-2 AND GOT DESTROYED LAST WEEK 56-0.LOOKS LIKE A REPEAT OF TEXAS COLLEGE.

Division III to Division II. They are in their second year of transition and are going back where they came from - Division II. The former version of Lamar Cardinals played them in 1988 when the Choctaws were Division II. Lamar came out on the short end 14-16 in that game. (They were our homecoming opponent back then.)

Equivalent scores are dangerous, but Mississippi College had a common opponent with Texas College, Belhaven. Texas College lost to Belhaven 44-6. Mississippi College lost 32-14.

We should be a pretty good favorite. I just hope we don't overlook them. Last week, two other SLC conference members provided a reminder that an SLC team can lose to a sub-DI team. Looking at the Mississippi State athletics facilities, I would venture a guess that their athletic budget is a bit higher than that of Texas College. A lot of the facilities appear to be nicer than those of some of our conference members.

Football / Track stadium - 8,500

Basketball Arena - 3,500

Baseball Field - 1,500

Softball Field - 200

Tennis courts look nice

Below is a nice video of the facilities if anyone has some spare time.

Mississippi College plays a version of the wishbone which our defense is not accustomed too. It doesn't sound like any of our running backs will be back until next week. Let's throw CS out there and see what he can do with the ball.
