Abilene Christian opened its new Elmer Gray Track & Soccer Stadium on April 9, 2015. The new football stadium will be located on the site of the old Elmer Gray stadium.

 

Linked below is a discussion and images of the new stadium from one of the contractor sites. The track is purple as in the original rendition. The final product is not too far off from the vision.

The inaugural track meet brought TCU and Texas Tech to campus. Rumor is next year's line up will feature Tech, Penn State and TAMU.

 

Next up for ACU, a new on campus football stadium (shown in the architectural drawing you linked) due to open Fall 2016 or 2017. None of the above schools are rumored to be lined up to play in the first game. :)
