Not great names, but a good write-up. I'd prefer someone who's not a washed-up coach at an SLC team. Outside of SHSU & UCA, the league sucks.

All these folks who are all over kevin barbay... it blows my mind.. yes the kids has a great start in the coaching world but HE HAS NEVER CALLED A PLAY IN THE NCAA and HAS NEVER HAD TO HIRE ASSISTANTS IN THE NCAA.... The last time he did that he was 0-20..... I wanted to know what the sports broadcaster Chad Cooper thought was the ":plus 1 who Lamar should absolutely go after."

As an Abilene Christian fan I am happy to see absolutely no overlap between your wish list and ours. I am very surprised to see that Phil Longo is not on your list. I assumed he would be one of Lamar's top targets.

UPDATE: I just spoke with coach Jeff Conway of Tulane. He is pulling his name out of consideration. Timing is not right, and he and his family are happy at Tulane.

 

He did give his endorsement to Mike Schulz.
