Athletic Department Promotions

So today the athletic department was getting into social media. They posted on Twitter and Facebook the 1st 2 students to come over and get their tickets for the game while also saying the code word would win 10 bucks to Buffalo Wild Wings. I got right over there and got mine. They also filmed me and took a pic. Hopefully they can continue contests like this to help promote on campus involvement in athletics.

I must say they AD has stepped up its game on social media in the past few weeks. We were definitely slow to the start on this but they have done a good job recently of getting involved on the web. Kudos to the AD for this, it's long over due.

 

 

EDIT: And what the heck is up with an SFA winning the promotion yesterday??

 

 

for those who don't know they asked a trivia question about Coach Woodard and the first person to get it right won a LU car flag and shirt. The first person who posted was an SFA grad, It's cool if they live in Beaumont and support LU too but that should have gone to someone more affiliated with the school.

I kid you not, when I posted the answer, it was the first post. Then I hit "refresh" and 3 were ahead of me...BS if you ask me!

To add to that, it seemed off that the shirt was a basketball shirt linked to a football trivia question. Don't get me wrong, I actually prefer Lamar basketball as college basketball is awesome. I just found it weird.
