I agree with the post that if we win, this will be the biggest probably since beating Baylor. It will establish this program probably 2 to 3 years ahead of what most outsiders would have expected by beating one of the contenders for the conference title. At this juncture of the season, IMO, the contenders are NWLa ST, UCA, McNeese, & SHSU. It is really concerning at what has happened with SFA - but if they beat SHSU - they maybe back on track. Ive got to say im a little worried about this game. But moments like these are when great players step up and we have a few guys on the offensive side for sure that are great players. BigRedTrack Posted October 8, 2011 Share Posted October 8, 2011 CA, I view the Baylor game as the last really big win for Lamar football, there has been none since that could have the significance of a win Saturday. I believe it could be that big of a deal, to the players, to the school, to the community, and especially to the recruiting. It lets a kid know if he signs with Lamar, there is a legit chance to get a conference ring (and in the FCS playoffs) in his 4 years in the program.
