eagle eye Posted October 13, 2019 Share Posted October 13, 2019 Lamar played really good defense yesterday and they showed just enough offense to win a tough game against what was the top dog in the SLC. The showed similar grit beating ACU last week. I still can't explain how they managed to lose to a winless SFA team two weeks ago but the last two weeks have got to have given the Cards confidence. Confidence is a big deal in whether you believe in yourself enough to play like they have. Maybe Lamar has become road warriors. They will get another chance to test their confidence and their road warrior-ness next week when they travel to play the No 2 team in the SLC, Incarnate Word. With the win yesterday LU is in the middle of the SLC pack and very much in the hunt for conference. I would be ecstatic if the Astros could figure out their problems and dispatch the stupid Yankees.
