Mike Posted February 23, 2012 Posted February 23, 2012 I think coachacola already mentioned part of this but it's still worth mentioning again: There were three Class 4A All-State running backs this year in the state Texas. Jonathan Gray from Aledo who signed with UT, then Cam Washington from Corsicana and Darrell Harris from Waco who BOTH signed with Lamar. Darrell Harris had similar stats as Gray and generated interest from Oklahoma, Texas A&M, Texas Tech, Oregon and North Texas. If he had an offer from North Texas that would mean Harris along with Michael Handy from Conroe Oak Ridge both chose Lamar over UNT. UNT had a soft verbal from Handy before he signed with Lamar on National Signing Day. If they all make it to Lamar it's a solid recruiting class for the Cardinals. Check out the first team RB's on this list: LINK: http://www.kwtx.com/_254sports/headlines/Texas_Sports_Writers_Association_4A_All-State_Team_138237919.html Quote
Guest BigRed2010 Posted February 23, 2012 Posted February 23, 2012 If you look at the second team offense, you will see Desmond Richards from Magnolia West is on the there. Quote

I'm glad you posted this because I noticed that earlier but I was on my phone and forgot to add it to my post. This just adds more clarification on how solid this class looks to be. Quote
