1. How much more awesome will we be than Prairie View A&M. 8)

2. How many people are in our band this year?

3. Is there anything else you want us to know about our band this year?

We are really excited about Prairie View coming! They are always an entertaining group with great tradition.

This year everyone needs to come out to the PreGame show 20 minutes before kickoff. We are doing a salute to our veterans and service men and women in the Armed Forces. We are playing all the service songs of each branch and having people in the audience stand who are and have served in that particular branch!

For halftime we are playing music from the group Black Eyed Peas. Past couple of years we have played music from the 70's and 80's so I decided to go a little modern this year. In a few weeks we will be playing music from Shakira and K'naan - it's going to be a great year!

The Showcase of Southeast Texas will be putting 160 on the field (counting dancers and auxiliary groups).

Go CARDS!!!

Both bands represented their respective universities well. The Pregame Armed Forces salute was nice and appreciated by this old flyboy. The half-time performances were fun to watch. I like just about any kind of music and really enjoyed the Black Eyed Peas piece our band did. The trumpet solo was great. When you mentioned the Black Eyed Peas, I thought the piece might be "I Gotta Feelin'". It would have fit right in with yesterday's experience. (I liked the selection the band performed also. :) )

I like Cardinal sports. I've also enjoyed the LU Band from the mid 70's to the current version. Looking forward to the rest of the season; both from the football team as well as the half-time.

Mahler I think the band has a great sound but the one thing I would mention is that our band gets drowned out by opposing bands. I am not sure if it is your location in the stadium or if u keep the volume low for sound quality. The sfa band was a similar size but they blasted us out of our own stadium... I always thought the same thing about the Nederland band when I was in high school, they sounded great but were to damn quiet... The band is there to pump up the crowd it is not a concert!
