LUSportsFan Posted November 12, 2012 Posted November 12, 2012 Agree... Always enjoyed the playing of the alma mater at the beginning of athletics events. It was nice to hear it after Saturday's game concluded. Quote

All of the students that stay for the entire football games all go on the field with the team and stand in front of the band with our L's up while it's played. It's a great tradition. I just whish more people would stay all the way till the end. Quote

And that is because Billy Franklin and George McGlaughlin ruined the university. And Simmons didn't help anything by turning it into "if you breathe, we will let you in, University". Quote

LOL DW. We have several like him around this board. It's pretty funny when you think that there is no such of a thing as race. Geneticaly there is no difference from whites, hispanics, blacks, asians, middle eastern people or any other race. It's sickening to see amount of racism we have in America. It's sickening to see the lack of tolerence we have in America for other peoples views and beliefs. This is the land of opertunity and freedom and yet we are the most racest and intolerent democratic nation in the world. I also bet that most of the racists on this board claim to be christian. I like to call these people selective christians as they select which parts of christianity to accept and throw out the love thy neighbor and god loves everyone parts. Sorry for the rant, but I have very strong feelings on racism and racists comments. And just about everyday I come on this board now, I see at least one new racist comment and get very offended. As a white male, I want to say to any minority that comes on this board, we arn't all like this. Once again sorry for the rant. Quote
jdcurran235 Posted November 15, 2012 Posted November 15, 2012 I personally liked yhe halftime shows. Thought they were modern and up with the times. And alot of fun. Quote
QB 22 Posted November 15, 2012 Posted November 15, 2012 This needs to be locked this is about sports not bands!! Quote
puddin tane Posted November 15, 2012 Posted November 15, 2012 what the hell is racist about "drumlines and rapping?" have you seen our last 3 halftimes?...drumlines are featured not all rappers are black-----ya ever heard of eminem? beastie boys? limp bizkit, mac miller? linkin park? country star Jason Aldean raps in a song he has out. Y'all are so focused on race, you'll turn any comment into a racist remark...fricking pathetic Quote
jdcurran235 Posted November 16, 2012 Posted November 16, 2012 Puddin I don't think what you said was racist I think people are still sensitive from earlier this year when Cardinals said a bunch a racist stuff but I do disagree with you I actually like the halftime performances Quote
jdcurran235 Posted November 16, 2012 Posted November 16, 2012 It sounds to me that you're just not a big fan of non traditional halftime performances Quote
