Elderly couple stabbed in Vidor

VIDOR, Texas– KFDM News has learned an elderly man and woman have been found stabbed to death inside a home in Vidor, according to information provided to KFDM by Precinct 2 Justice of the Peace Derry Dunn.

J.P. Dunn says relatives went to the home in the 300 block of Timberlane at about 11 p.m. Thursday to check on a person at the home. He says they opened the door and discovered the bodies.

Dunn says the body of the man, in his 80’s, was in the hallway. He’d been stabbed more than once. The elderly woman’s body was found in a chair. She’d been stabbed at least twice, according to Dunn. He says they know the man’s identity and they’re trying to determine the woman’s identity.

The judge says nothing in the home appeared to be out of place as might be expected if there had been a robbery.

He’s ordered autopsies.

He tells us Vidor Police are investigating the double homicide, with assistance from the Orange County Sheriff’s Office and Beaumont P.D.
