    • Lamar MBB announced the signing of Quinton Sanders from Houston Wheatley.  I tend to discount press clipping with "nobody signs bad players" but this guy looks like he could be special.  https://lamarcardinals.com/news/2025/6/5/mens-basketball-cardinals-add-scoring-punch-in-quinton-sanders.aspx
    • The impressive part of that, to me, is that McNeese did that with only 5 home football games. It's 100% campus culture. Revenue be damned (though they'd still make revenue off them with apparel and concession sales), get students into the building creating a home field/court advantage for Big Red.  Those of us who are early-Millennials and Gen-X remember what the Montagne was like in the late-80s and early-90s.  Make it fun and exciting to be at games for students and the community.
    • Looks like another area that Lamar needs to improve on, especially in the rivalry with McNeese.  Sixty thousand more attendance could help with recruiting and NIL potentially.
