Desmond Richards could be done with football

As stated by Coach Woodard on our Red Zone Sport Show moments ago. He had another concussion and it may be recommended he not continue his football career. Coach stated it'll be discussed with the doctors and his family before making a final decision. That went into the decision to take the redshirt off Emmitt Raleigh last week.

Hate to hear it. Kid had good skills and could be a really good 1-2 punch with Harrington. Can't seem to get a break at RB. Awful thin right now. We may have to play with a empty backfield and 5 wideouts!!

Can anyone explain what happened to Tory White?? I know he is gone but he had a promising resume coming out of High School!!

Hate to hear anything like this but the kid needs to make the decision that is best for his health in the long run...I was wondering Saturday night why he wasn't playing. Now down to 3 healthy backs and hopefully Ploch's hip will be good to go before conference play begins...and hopefully Kueck can come up with some creative ways to get the ball in the hands of our playmakers (now if he alls those plays is a different story)...last thing we need now is to have Harrington carry the ball 30 times and get injured. I know Feburary is a long was away but i look for a JUCO RB to be coming to Beaumont in the next recruiting class...we will go into next season with 2 sophomore RB's and thats it. I know not many people on this board like the name but Cameron Washington is having a good year at Navarro...they are ranked #1 in NJCAA so he may end up getting the attention from larger schools that he wanted when he went there and may not consider Lamar but Woodard has the Navarro ties and is familiar with Washington so we'll see what happens.

No doubt. Especially with the actual odds of rb's panning out appearing to be pretty low. i think we need a minimum of 3 healthy backs all the time so we need at least 5 rb's going into each season with the assumption of losing at least one. I think we will pick up at least 3 rb's for next year.
