LUSportsFan Posted November 16, 2013 Share Posted November 16, 2013 According to an email the LU Athletic department sent to season ticket holders, the City of Beaumont has started construction on the northbound exit from Lavaca onto MLK (street between LU and LIT). The construction will last for several months. The attached image shows the detour routes. It doesn't look like the construction will cause too many problems; just letting people know. Text from email... Due to construction on the campus, there are new traffic patterns established until further notice. We are alerting you so that you can plan accordingly for when you attend athletic events on our campus. Beginning today (11/7), the northbound exit from Lavaca onto MLK (the on-ramp to northbound MLK ) will be closed for several months due to a project initiated by the City of Beaumont.
