January 19, 201412 yr The thread on the Texas Tech site is an interesting read. I had to laugh at the one commenter that brought up the difficulty of recruiting in Beaumont. Pretty bold statement from someone in LUBBOCK. He may share our pain in that also.

January 20, 201412 yr I'm glad to hear that was a dig at Knight. I thought the guy was Beaumont bashing as well. We've heard that 'excuse' from other coaches and even fans. But, when you look at who we are competing against: SFA - Nacogdoches Sam Houston - Huntsville McNeese - Lake Charles NWSU - Natchitoches Nicholls - Thibedeaux SE La - Houma Central Ark - Conway, Ar etc etc That argument just doesn't hold water.

Last year he brought in a lot of freshmen, but most didn't pan out. This year he brought in a lot of JUCO players, and again only a few contribute in a big way.

I guess they are just knocking down the doors to go to Lubbock, Waco, Houma, Nacogdoches, Huntsville, and Lake Charles? All resort cities.
