Congratulations to Brook Center, Dustin Burns class of 2015, now officially offered by Lamar University & McNeese University. #LND

A 6 second 40??? Seriously?

Just wondering if a 40 time is as important for an interior lineman as it is for some of the other positions. Seems like reflexes, technique, size, and strength would have more weight. Looks like he has played numerous posititions including deep snapper, shot gun snapper, etc.

Saw today McNeese offered 3 guys in our backyard. Port Arthur DB C.J. Levine, Port Arthur DE Jaron Johnson (who we have as showing interest for us) and Nederland ATH Sage Seay. Levine already has 2 FBS offers according to 247 and I would be shocked if Seay doesn't start racking FBS offers soon...that being said he needs a Lamar offer ASAP in case the offers don't come for some reason. Very similar to Nederland's Colton Kimler, who we offered but decided to not play, in the aspect of his position should be called football player...except Seay may be better. Has played S & OLB on defense and WR on offense with a mix of QB in their "wild dog" formation. He's one of the candidates to be the starting QB this season. Was a starter on D as a Sophomore for Nederland when they went to the regional finals. Having said all this he is a Louisiana boy so he might pick McNeese over us even if we offered but I'd hate to see him in blue ad gold having never received a Lamar offer

Seeing now we offered him as a DB and not at RB...wish we would have offered as a RB or WR cause he's electric with the ball in his hands

I have failed to comment on the first reported commit to Lamar for the 2015 cycle (updated the OP but failed to post anything about it) so here we go. Lamar picked up a commit from Jasper's 6'3" WR Chris Spikes (see his BRI profile on the "409 Recruiting" page here http://www.bigredinsider.com/forums/showthread.php?3762-Jasper-s-Chris-Spikes).

He was recently offered by SHSU then committed to us roughly a week after. I decided to go over to Katfans.com to see what kind of reaction they had since I had seen they posted an article when he was offered...I normally wouldn't do this but I just think it needs to be said. If a kid commits to a rival school show some friggin respect to the KID...this is a quote from KF.

He chose facilities over winning. To me it's shows he may be too stupid to get in here anyway. I mean who chooses a school that is 0-4 and will likely be 0-5 against another that offered them by the time they arrive?

Don't let those jackasses get under your skin. Just laugh it off that we got someone they wanted. I think it's funny that they assume we're going to go 0-5 this year (the same way they assumed that they'd beat us by 60 again when they came nowhere close this past year).

Ozen RB/DB Rodney Randle (@R_nose25 ) has, verbally committed to Lamar #BEScores #peckem

Man I'm glad we reeled this one in...he was offered as a DB I believe but would not be shocked if he ended up on the other side of the ball before it's all said and done...kid can flat out fly
