Don't know if they have any left since school started, buy Kampus Korner Bookstore was selling last years red Under Armour polo shirts for $19, normally $60.

I have a Lamar Football sweatshirt that came from one of the LU asst coaches (McManus) lockers after he was fired in the '70s. It is in such bad shape now, my wife said she would throw it away if I wear it.

To celebrate collegiate football in Southeast Texas, Lamar University alumni and friends are asked to GET YOUR RED ON during the Lamar University Cardinals home football game weekends in 2011.

 

Wearing red on home game weekends is about more than just putting on the school colors. Wearing red shows support for the students whose academic goals will be met at Lamar University, the students who will shape the future of our region and of the State of Texas.

That's awesome. I noticed that the freshmen and sophomores at LU were much more spirited and bought in to the idea of supporting Lamar athletics. Sadly my class was not like this, by the time people get to their senior year if they're not fans they're not going to be. Football came to late for many.

 

And I've already wore my Lamar Ultimate Jersey many times on campus at TAMU. I was going to wear my Lamar shirt on College colors day (tomorrow) but I came back into town tonight. I'm back in the beautiful Golden triangle for the weekend.

The campus was almost solid red today!!! There were a few HS shirts but i would say that 90-95% of the students on camous wore red today!

That's really awesome! I'm not going to lie it almost makes me want to cry tears of joy. I remember when I would be wearing my Lamar gear a few years back and I might see two or three other people that day wearing something Lamar. It picked up significantly last year, but now it's grown even more. I really would love to see a picture.
