TBonesLU
It is also noted in the BE that Dionte Forney and Justin Brock will redshirt this year. Sorry, Avitom. At least for this year, Dionte will not be the QB of the future for LU. http://blog.beaumontenterprise.com/inthecards/
coachacola
Few more notes about players from Chris Dabe on Twitter: TE Billy Chavis (knee) is running and cutting on sideline at practice. He will not play Saturday. WR Marcus Jackson (ankle sprain) no longer has walking boot. Also out Saturday They could be playing soon! Mike
I'd bet Jackson would play Saturday if it weren't Texas College.
Guest CardAmbassador
That's awesome news about Jackson!! He will definitely be ready by next week for South Alabama. Better yet South Alabama wont have any current film on him in the new offense. :)

RS your freshman year is a big bonus to their playing career.

RS your freshman year is a big bonus to their playing career. I do too. I mean, it essentially gives these players another chance to compete for a position in another year. At least Forney wouldn't be competing with a senior trying to make something of his final year is what I mean. Likewise for Brock...there are RS Freshmen every year for every school. Brock will be a big kid. This give him one more year to put on the pounds.
AVItom
It is also noted in the BE that Dionte Forney and Justin Brock will redshirt this year. Sorry, Avitom. At least for this year, Dionte will not be the QB of the future for LU. http://blog.beaumontenterprise.com/inthecards/ Which mean they probably have no intent to try him in another position and wanted to save him as QB. JJ will not be around all four years. He will either get hurt or stingy and move on. JMO
Bearkat 41
Where would JJ go? Just curious as to what you are thinking. Seems to me that unless he were to have a grade issue or something, he would more than likely be a Cardinal for the rest of his career. Guest NorthoftheBorder
I saw on the other board the Forney quit. Any truth to this? He is still on the roster. They were quick to get Cody Hussey off of the roster when he left the team.

BigRed98
I don't blame Woodward either. I think he would have made an excellent TE. I'm just glad he freed up the scholarship in plenty of time for next year.
LU1991
Forney didn't come in wanting to play are he would've lost a few lbs. Sounds like the earlier predictions came true.
