Preseason accolades continue to pour in for LU football

The preseason honors continue to pile up for the 2014 Lamar Cardinals' football team with the season opener less than three weeks out. Senior safety/return specialist Kevin Johnson has been recognized to another preseason watch list. A preseason All-America selection, Johnson was named to the College Football Performance Awards (CFPA) All-Purpose Performer of the Year Watch list Tuesday afternoon.

 

Johnson is one of 30 players nationally named to the preseason list. In addition to the All-Purpose Performer of Year watch list, Johnson has been named to the CFPA watch lists for punt and kick returner of the year.
