Senior quarterback Caleb Berry became Lamar's all-time leader in touchdown passes with his third scoring strike in Saturday's win over Grambling State. For his success on the field Berry has been named Southland Conference Offensive Player of the Week by CollegeSportsMadness.com.

 

Berry completed 27-of-45 passes for 389 yards and five touchdowns in the season-opening victory over the Tigers, but it was his third TD of the night that placed him a top the school's record book - a five-yard pass to transfer Devonn Brown.
