lu cards Posted September 30, 2014 Posted September 30, 2014 Woodard just announced on his show that we play Baylor in 2015,Houston in 2016 and Wyoming in 2017. Quote
Pirate88 Posted September 30, 2014 Posted September 30, 2014 All road games I'm sure. Home games will be Our Sister of the Weak, Northwest Oklahoma College of Combines & Plows, and surely to pack out PUS: College of Lowriders. Where do I sign up for season tickets at McNeese? Quote

You think Baylor, Houston or Wyoming would come to Lake Charles? Yeah, right....their out of conference home games this year ----prairie view and the Arkansas tech wonder boys. Last year they had a NAIA and a d2 team Quote
Pirate88 Posted September 30, 2014 Posted September 30, 2014 No they aren't coming to Lake Charles just like they aren't coming to Beaumont. Which program gives their fans more for the ticket? I will take McNeese over Lamar any day. Quote
puddin tane Posted September 30, 2014 Posted September 30, 2014 Anddddddd....I don't mind playing a d2 team....returning the "favor" of a FBS team playing us, but the NAIA teams gotta go. Quote
Pirate88 Posted September 30, 2014 Posted September 30, 2014 Sorry that I have upset you Ray or is this Jason? Quote
Mike Posted September 30, 2014 Posted September 30, 2014 LAZEEK posted this on here last week. UH should be fun. As for the home schedule, you guys are aware the NCAA doesnt allow an FBS school to play in a FCS school any longer so any return game to PUS wont happen unless LU ends up in the Sun Belt or another FBS conferene in the future. Quote
coachacola Posted September 30, 2014 Posted September 30, 2014 McNeese has 6 home games this year, 1 against Prairie View A&M (same conference as Grambling), 1 against D2 Arkansas Tech (same level as Miss College), and the rest are SLC games. If LU would have had the normal 11 game schedule then they wouldn't have played Texas College. Not sure why anyone would think McNeese's home schedule is that much better than Lamar's home schedule. puddin tane Posted September 30, 2014 Posted September 30, 2014 Yes , I know they can't This is life in the FCS ....and there ain't a helluva lot of non conference FCS teams close by....I imagine we'll always play a d2 at home...I'm fine with it Quote
Lamarcard81 Posted September 30, 2014 Posted September 30, 2014 Wyoming sounds like an expensive trip. Lots of mid-major teams in La. and Texas. Tulane, Texas State, UTSA, ULALA, North Texas. All driving distance for our fans and decent destinations as well. Quote
puddin tane Posted September 30, 2014 Posted September 30, 2014 I'm talking about teams to play at home Quote
Card Nation Posted October 1, 2014 Posted October 1, 2014 I am especially looking forward to the Houston game. That should be a fun one and close by. Quote

All driving distance for our fans and decent destinations as well. That might be a 1 hour trip for me by 2017. ;) The rest of the schedule would be rough, though. Right now it's just a little under a two hour drive to Beaumont for the home games. All kidding aside, Wyoming would be an expensive trip for the team. I hope we get a good payday out of the deal to make it worth it. Quote
LUSportsFan Posted October 1, 2014 Posted October 1, 2014 I am especially looking forward to the Houston game. That should be a fun one and close by. Both Baylor and Houston are the types of games I hope we have on the schedule in the future. I agree with Lamar81 in another post pointing out the mid-majors close by . With as many teams in Texas and Louisiana, it would be nice to keep the games fairly close. For the more distant games, I hope we at least get a payout to make the trip worth it. Quote

Yeah, right....their out of conference home games this year ----prairie view and the Arkansas tech wonder boys. Last year they had a NAIA and a d2 team There was no NAIA team on the schedule last year. One SWAC and a top 10 D2 school (not a lot different than the team that took it to SHSU a couple weeks ago) Quote
