I am glad that the LU coaching staff kept most of the starters out the entire second half. Lamar showed more class than some of our opponents did the first couple of years that the Lamar program was restarting.

Pulling your starters when the game is put away to protect against freak injuries in a game that is put away is a smart thing to do. Getting the 2nd and third teams some playing time is the smart thing to do in preparation for next year is the smart thing to do. CS you would probably be happy if Berry got hurt scoring the 100th point. I guarantee you I don't have my head stuck in the sand. I doubt LU scoring a hundred on HBU would get much press outside of your excellent coverage. At this point in the season ESPN is all about the FBS playoffs.

I wish we would have pulled the starters with 5 mins. left in the half. There is no reason to hang 100 on anybody. 70 plus is too many. However, the Baptists will probably get their revenge and hang 70 plus on us in Waco next September if they can.
