LUSportsFan Posted January 10, 2015 Posted January 10, 2015 from lamarcardinals.com FIRST NATIONAL RANKING FOR MEN'S TENNIS SINCE 2005 The Lamar doubles team of Michael Feucht and Nikita Lis was ranked 29th nationally by the Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA), announced the organization on Tuesday along with its team and singles rankings. "This is huge for our program. It has been a long time since Lamar has had a nationally-ranked duo," said [head coach Scott] Shankles. "We hope it is only the beginning of more good things for Lamar men's tennis. The two are the first ranked players from Lamar since 2008 when Filip Kanczula and Maciej Bogusz were ranked as high as No. 25 in the nation as a doubles team. Dean Clower and Ignacio Melus gained a national ranking after they reeled off nine victories in 2005 season's first 10 matches.
