That was not the case last season.

 

Lamar coaches struggled to piece together two full defensive line units last season. By midseason, injuries left the Cardinals so thin they moved a scout-team offensive lineman Ian Kelso to the defensive side.

 

But now Foster and Dorsey are healthy. That, plus the addition of junior college transfer John Prescott (Ozen) at defensive tackle and Missouri transfer Marcus Malbrough (West Brook) at defensive end, puts Lamar in a far better spot than last year.

 

"We've got a better rotation this year, so we should have better success stopping the run game," Foster said. "We should do a lot better than we did last year stopping the run."

Good article, mirrors what I was telling the Jags about our D-Line, we had alot of injuries.

 

Run defense is something I'll want to see improvement in for tomorrows game.
