KABrother88 Posted February 18, 2015 Posted February 18, 2015 Just 24 hours after opening spring drills the Lamar Cardinals football team has strengthened its defense with the addition of Ventura College transfer David Owens announced head coach Ray Woodard. A 6-4, 245-pound product from Baltimore, Md., Owens adds to a recruiting class that consisted of 13 defensive players, including two defensive lineman, on National Signing Day. He had decent recieving number as a sophomore and junior albeit at the TAPPS level...has the size to play TE or DE for us...we will see Quote
KABrother88 Posted August 6, 2015 Author Posted August 6, 2015 It appears that DE David Owens will not be joining the Lamar team after all. He is now listed as a 2016 recruit on Rivals. Not sure if he didn't make grades/credits required or if he decided to back out and play out his final year of JUCO eligibility. Quote
