[Women's Hoops] Joya Whittingon Joins Women's Hoops Staff

Lamar University women's basketball coach Robin Harmony has added Joya Whittingtonto the coaching staff of the Lady Cardinals.

 

Whittington comes to Lamar from Lackawanna College, an NJCAA school in Scranton, Pa., where she spent the past two seasons as head coach of the Falcons.

 

Whittington posted a 41-16 record in her two seasons at Lackawanna, including a 23-6 mark in 2014-15. In her two seasons with the Falcons, Whittington coached four all-region players. Prior to her time at Lackawanna, Whittington served two seasons as assistant coach at her alma mater, Seton Hill University in Greensburg, Pa., after four seasons as a standout player there.
