Whittington comes to Lamar from Lackawanna College, an NJCAA school in Scranton, Pa., where she spent the past two seasons as head coach of the Falcons. Whittington posted a 41-16 record in her two seasons at Lackawanna, including a 23-6 mark in 2014-15. In her two seasons with the Falcons, Whittington coached four all-region players. Prior to her time at Lackawanna, Whittington served two seasons as assistant coach at her alma mater, Seton Hill University in Greensburg, Pa., after four seasons as a standout player there.
