I think I good TE target would have been a big benefit while breaking in a new QB. With Barrett's departure and McVey's 4 years up we will be counting on guys who have combined for a total of 2 collegiate catches. Brandon Beaton was listed at #2 on the depth chart coming out of spring so you'd expect him to go into fall as the starter...he had 1 of those 2 catches but it was 32 yards...however it was in 2013. Last season Garrett Drake caught the other pass for 8 yards.
