At that point - four plays into the game - winning seemed to be a cinch. The Cardinals were playing their first home football game in nearly 21 years against a presumably overmatched lower-division opponent. But nothing after that point came easily. "You can't play up or down to your opponent," coach Ray Woodard said. "You have to play every week." That point is one Woodard reminded his players about during this week. Lamar (1-1) plays at 7 tonight at home against Incarnate Word (1-1), an NCAA Division II school from San Antonio.
