Here is a number: 191/40

Its the number of offensive plays from scrimmage vs the number of runs made by a Qb.

Granted, some of these were probably by design, but most were not. These guys ae for sure helping the O line by not getting sacked. But obvioulsy, they are scrambling their tails off.

191/40, please post a link or something to prove evidence of these numbers. Plus, there are at least 10-15 plays this season in which Johnson has a designed run play called for the QB.

Here's the cumulative stats for the year: http://www.lamarcardinals.com/sports/m-footbl/stats/2011-2012/teamcume.html

I count 191 plays and 32 rushing attempts by the QBs.

These stats are from the same website. It looks as if they are reporting 2 different lines.

The forty times were meant figuratively. And the touchdown stat is a little skewed since we played Texas College a school way below our talent level.

Look I love our team but be a realist and take the emotion out when looking at what's going on it's ok to not be happy with the teams progress. I just thought after last season we would be alot farther ahead than we are now.

Ha ha, I knew you meant it figuratively. It's funny when everyone posts up stats immediately.

BR360 our #1 running back runs a 4.79 40, so that is a 4.8. And we made such a big deal a few weeks ago about speed and how speed kills and you have to have speed at the running back position, so that is how we set our depth chart, baseed on speed. Heck Venson's 40 was only 4.62. It is just very interesting when you consider Woodard and Staff's depth chart philosphy.

Now, that is funny as I guess if I was 0.3 of a second off on a forty time I'd say the same thing. LOL

You crack me up as last night you were bragging about L. Ford stats and they played McMurry who is DIII and moving to DII.

Then you dog the Cardinals stats versus Texas College who has scholarship players. A DIII team doesn't!!!

Then to quote me, I said 10-15 of Jeremy Johnson's runs were design QB run plays.

NOTB, I've know about the forty times since last spring and I have not posted any times except Thomas, Johnson and Bevil.

As for a RB's I'm not comparing anything but speed here but Emmitt Smith ran a 4.7 forty.
