Guest CardAmbassador Posted September 26, 2011 Posted September 26, 2011 So usually we ask for predictions of games but I'm wondering what are peoples expectations? Do you expect worse or better performance than last year? How do you think we will play? I just thought of this question because there seems to still be a lot of uncertainty about this team. This is the biggest game yet because now there are no excuses IMO. I'll give my response in time. Quote
BigRedTrack Posted September 26, 2011 Posted September 26, 2011 I'm concerned about playing them over there, They will be ready for us this year. Quote
lu cards Posted September 26, 2011 Posted September 26, 2011 i expect lamar to go over there and play there best game of the year.doesnt have to mean we win but give sela everything they want and more.looking forward to watching it on tv. Quote
lu cards Posted September 26, 2011 Posted September 26, 2011 anyone find some game footage fron the sela vs mceneese game? Quote
coachacola Posted September 26, 2011 Posted September 26, 2011 I expect the defense to be a lot better and for Lamar to sneak out with a win. SLU and LU have played such different schedules that it's hard to judge just what LU will do against them. Quote

Lamar Pride Posted September 26, 2011 Posted September 26, 2011 I expect a hard fought game with a close score. Hopefully, the banged up guys will be healthy and we make some adjustments on defense. I'll be happy with a close game, but would be thrilled with a win on the road to start conference. Quote
Guest McNeese75 Posted September 26, 2011 Posted September 26, 2011 Expect a slobberknocker in Hammond. McNeese played really well Saturday night to beat the lions. Their defense if fast and hard hitting. Their receivers are arguably the best in the SLC. Numbers 81, 88 and 5 are all fast and catch the ball well. I would expect them to play the Ole Miss transfer QB this week. Good Luck!! Quote
lu cards Posted September 26, 2011 Posted September 26, 2011 http://forums.delphiforums.com/southeastern/start here are some mcneese highlights. Quote
Guest LU4LIFE Posted September 27, 2011 Posted September 27, 2011 With the extra week of preparation and time to heal some injuries my expectations for this game is Lamar coming out and showing improvement in all areas. Quote
Guest bigred360 Posted September 27, 2011 Posted September 27, 2011 Can't pick against the Cardinals. So I pick them to win 24-21 on the road in Hammond, La. Quote
Guest CardAmbassador Posted September 27, 2011 Posted September 27, 2011 I know there has been alot of doubt about this team but I think that we will go out and show improvment in all areas of the game from our previous 2 games (don't count TC), and definitely from what we saw last season. We already have multiple rushing TD's and are set to surpass what we did on the ground in all of last year in the first 4 games of this year. To win we will have to show some determination and probably battle back if we face some adversity during certain points in the game. To say that we will win because we beat them last year, most would agree, is foolish. We were lucky to get out of Hammond with a win, we caught them sleeping. I'm looking forward to going in there and playing a team that's ready for us and hopefully coming out on top. What ever happens I want to see 60 minutes of football from both teams. Go Cards! Quote
Bull42 Posted September 27, 2011 Posted September 27, 2011 I also was at the McNeese-SE La. game last Saturday. They have some excellent WR's. Lamar needs to run the ball well to beat them. I too wish ya'll the best. Quote

coachacola Posted September 28, 2011 Posted September 28, 2011 Incarnate Ward lost to W. Texas A&M 52-7 last week so Lamar letting them score 35 is real scary in a bad way. Woodard better have worked some magic on the defense this off week or it might get ugly. Quote
West Posted September 28, 2011 Posted September 28, 2011 I want to be positive, but based on what I've seen along with what I have heard... I don't expect to win this game. I sure hope I'm proved wrong though. Peck em' Cards!! Quote
