Maybe the WAC gives us an invite mid-season and we have to switch our schedule up for the final few games. I kid...
Jack
It's a two part cryptic message. One, Texas State fans are notorious for paying at the window and the last two home games have been over 15k showings. I'd hate for you boys to drive from Beaumont and not get a ticket. Two, some people chose this game to attend possibly to see how well you travel. I'd like for them to see advance sales. I'm not trying to rumor-monger but I can't say much until Monday. Be loud, wear red, and buy your stubs in advance. Again, any LU fans are welcome at our tailgate and if BRI wants to set up shop with us, we are down. Just email Ryan or Justin and let us know. I look forward to meeting y'all. Jack
Mr.KnowItAll
I'm already lined up to be on the pass list. But I have about 20 people (at least) coming up with us. I fully expect 1000 Lamar fans at least. We are planning our own tailgate but could easily set up next to y'all. We aren't much for early risers but we hope to get there around 2 (after all its a 4 hour drive.) Should be fun and glad Texas State is expecting a big crowd. Austin Card
I hope I attached this right. This is the map of the area we a planning to throw the party at. The star indicates the spot. We will be setting up early to make sure we get it. Even if you are arriving late come by and hang out. TBonesLU
I really want to make this game, but now that my friend's couch is unavailable due to her going to Colorado that weekend, I don't know if I can. I may have to get a hotel.
Mr.KnowItAll
Heard today WAC Commissioner Benson was going to be at this game. Let's show him how great Lamar's fanbase is and Pack the Whacker in RED!!! Hopefully it will help us show him what Lamar is made of!
LUSportsFan
This is one of the away games that we (wife and I, mostly me) had circled to attend. Hoping to make it. It would be great if we have a lot of red in the stadium.
Guest bigred360
Man, I have to work that weekend so I can't make it. It would have been nice to see Donny and do some tailgating with the folks at Texas State. I hope we have a nice showing in the stands and on the field. I know a bunch of students making the trip but yes they should get a charter bus and pack the stands. Will go and run it by the one of the admins today when I go grab my Texas State tickets. Guest CardAmbassador
I got my ticket and hotel room despite not having the money for it. IT will be worth it, you should try to get someone else from Dallas to go with you. San Marcos is a nice place and tailgating is a big event. Guest NorthoftheBorder
My brother lives in Buda just north of San Marcos and he says he maybe going to the game. I may drive out to see him and go to the game with him.
Austin Card
I just got back from Texas State and looked at the visitor tailgating area. We are planing on tailgating near Strahan Coliseum. Its about a five minute walk to the stadium and really close to Bobcat Alley. If you want to put it in your GPS the address is: 601 University Dr San Marcos TX 78666. This should take you right to the spot. Wish I could be at the game tomorrow, I will just have to watch it on the interweb. PECK EM!! Austin Card
I hope that the loss last Saturday will not dampen anyone’s will to travel to San Marcos this Saturday. We need to put the last game behind us and look forward to a Big Win at TX State this weekend! It looks like we are going to have a very good showing at the game and tailgate party. If you have not bought your ticket yet be sure to do so soon, as the game is looking like it may sellout. PECK EM!!
LU1991
We will be there. I talked to several that are planning to make the trip.

Austin Card
I will be at the Texas State game and am trying to get more details for tailgating with my dj setup. DJ They will not have any electricity to plug your equipment into, but if you you would like to set up near us I have an extra generator that you can use. I'm sure you already have one, but just in case.

TBonesLU
Austin Card, Anyone contemplating bringing a small bottle of Crown or something into the game? I remember doing that at Delta Downs...bring liquor in, pay for a Coke. B)
Austin Card
TBone- That's funny I used to sneak liquor into Delta Downs as well back in the day. I probably will not be drinking during the game as I will be in the parking lot at 830 am setting up and BBQing and probably drinking beer for the most part of the day. I usually use the game as sober up time, before the drive home.

ThePrisoner
Cards, it would be a shame to be in San Marcos and not go toobin' down the San Marcos river. I usually go toobin' in the morning then tailgating for a few hours before the game. There's tube rentals and a shuttle service from the Lions club of San Marcos in the park next to Strahan Coliseum. See link below: LINK Lions Club Tube rentals http://media-cdn.tripadvisor.com/media/photo-s/01/c2/38/49/san-marcos-river.jpg
