On pretty much all accounts. Recruiting (payden McVey is good, Forney was recruited to play a position other than QB) Offense (The QB controversy was not a controversy, Bevil is the man, the running game is improved and the o line can block.) Defense ( Not great but good enough to slow down an impressive offense with good receivers. good number of intercceptions) I'm very pleased with today's result. Special teams still needs a lot of work, and the defense had their fair share of mistakes but I did see some positive things out of them. The only thing that got to me was our special teams, we can not keep pooch kicking an giving the other team the ball with great field position. I'm happy to get the win so now it's time to celebrate. I don't know about shutting up his doubters in one game. That said, this was a good win in first SLC game. If Bevil plays at this level consistently the rest of the schedule and LU plays good team ball like today, then I will eat crow on my previous posts about Woodard and Bevil.
