Texas Tech QB dies of cancer

Featured Replies

Texas Tech walk-on QB Luke Gonsioroski has died of cancer at age 18. He committed to TT in January as a preferred walk-on. In March of 2016 a tumor was found on his lung. He was declared cancer free after undergoing 2 rounds of chemotherapy. Three months later he had the tumor removed. According to Joe Kusek of the Billings (Montana) Gazette the tumor was about the size of 2 footballs. Two months after committing to TT the cancer returned. Luke was able to walk across the stage to receive his diploma from Baker HS in Baker Montana. Luke died of the cancer yesterday surrounded by family. Gonsioroski was a 4.0 student who also played basketball and ran track for Baker HS. I just hate to hear of a life cut short like this. Thoughts and prayers to his family.
