geezer
Lamar pushes out to a sixteen point lead but then lets McNeese work their way back to an eight point defecit before settling for a ten point half time lead.
geezer
Third quarter played pretty even overall and scoring was even for the quarter. Third quarter score 55-45 in favor of Lamar.

Skinny1
Thought it was interesting on the broadcast of the SEC Women’s Tournament on the SEC Network, they showed the quality wins for Mississippi State for the season at it included Lamar. Then during the A&M game, Lamar got mentioned that they beat the Aggies with a very tough defense and Auburn was trying to use that same strategy. Nice to see the respect for our girls program. geezer
At the second media timeout the men are up 16-7. Mzeakor has eight early points and is playing aggresively on offense especially.
geezer
4:31 left in the first half and LU is now up 30-15. Only real negative is Garth hasn't hit a three yet and Hunter appears to be favoring his leg again.
geezer
Lamar closes out the half with a twenty point lead at 39-19. Good first half, hopefully the Cards come out in the second half with a similar intensity and put McNeese away early. geezer
Seven minutes left in the game and LU is up 68-41. So far just the way you want the second half to go.
geezer
Last media time out with 3:42 left and LU up by twenty six. Just need to play smart to finish out this game. Edited March 10, 2019 by geezer

geezer
Looking at the standings SFA didn't make the tourney. I wonder when the last time that happened was. From what I've read LU should play HBU. Edited March 10, 2019 by geezer

I interpret the tie breaker to have Lamar playing HBU at 5pm Wednesday. If I would pick a team to play in the first round it would be HBU. Skinny1
Great crowd for the Women’s game. Did not hear the attendance, but my guess is between 2500-3000. Less at the men’s game. Official attendance for the men’s game is listed as 5,218. This seems a bit high, but still a good crowd.
