I remember listening to the game on the radio at my " A " school I remember the assist was the last thing he needed and Dave saying it was the first and only in Lamar men's basketball history.

I was a freshman that year and had went home to do some work at my grandpa’s that weekend. I remember them saying it on the news and being surprised that with all the great teams of the past that there had never been one.
