lamarfan360
Bell’s final season with the Tigers was one of the most impressive individual seasons by a defensive player under head coach Randy Smith. The Lamar signee finished the season with 164 total tackles, 23 tackles for loss, six sacks and one interception. The senior defensive tackle secured a district MVP and led the Tigers’ defense all season. https://www.beaumontenterprise.com/sports/hs/article/2020-Fall-Super-Gold-Awards-15839245.php Edited January 3, 2021 by lamarfan360
lamarfan360
After scanning the article again, I noticed I didn't provide accurate information regarding Ayden Bell. Ayden was named POY instead of MVP, which is a little different. He was named to the second team as a O-lineman! I've been reading the Beaumont Enterprise articles regarding the Super Gold teams since 1990, when my brother made the team. I can't recall a player named POY at one position and 2nd team at another. Bell appears to be a solid recruit for Lamar.
