Roberts finished with 30 carries for 255 yards and six touchdowns.

His six rushing touchdowns were good for second all-time in 5A championship history and his 255 yards were the fourth best title game effort. Former Aledo running back Johnathan Gray owns the record with eight rushing scores in 2010.

When Greg Tepper (Managing Editor of Dave Campbell's- A*K*A "The Bible) takes the time to tweet that Lamar got a good one, you know he's going to be a force. Hopefully, it'll feel as good to watch him as it did Cade Harrington (without the lost senior year part).

When your performance is compared to Cedric Benson (5 TDs in each of 3 SCGs) and Johnathan Gray... and it wasn't a 1-game anomaly, we have a good one.

Now, time to get some wins this Spring and get recruits' attention. The ultimate recruiters: winning and getting kids to the next level.

You said a mouthful!! Winning championships and getting to the NFL are what recruits are all about. That is why Saban can stack 5 stars 1 behind another and it is what has been killing Texas. Hats off to Morgan and staff for snagging what may be the sleeper of the whole 2021 recruiting cycle.

Let's not downplay the fact we probably got him because Coach Morgan was committed to allowing him time at TB... whereas his size (5-8/160) led the big boys to want him at CB or solely as a returner.

With Wanza, not playing this year, looks like Roberts has a wide open field come the fall and the first season in the WAC.

Chaz Ward, Jaylon Jackson, Darrell Bush, Damashja Harris, R J Carver, Vernon Mosley, and others look like really good RB's also. Should be a lot of good competion for the running back position the next few years. Can't have too many playmakers on the field!
