Who Dat Posted February 23, 2012 Posted February 23, 2012 it looks like he's doing a heck of a job recruiting running backs this offseason i think its obviouos hes a great recruiter. my question is if we bring in a new offensive coordinator like rumored earlier today is there a chance he could coach the qb's? ive noticed at games in the past that he works with them before games sometimes and he was an excellent high school and college qb. wouldnt it benefit the team for him to be a qb coach? especially if the rumored new offensive coordinator isnt a qb specialist? i thnk james would do good with the guys we have on campus at qb. West Posted February 24, 2012 Posted February 24, 2012 I have no idea if he recruited the RB's or not, but in most cases, position coaches are assigned to specific areas. They don't always just recruit their position. Now James Brown area may recruit Waco and Corsicana, but I just want to point out that it's not clear that he's responsible for the addition of these commits. Nothing against him though. Quote
coachacola Posted February 24, 2012 Posted February 24, 2012 James Brown does recruit the Austin area. Michael Hargis talked about him a lot in his interview with BRI. Waco is just a few hours up the road from Austin so I bet Brown was recruiting Darrell Harris too. Quote
