With all this talk about hayes I'm just gonna go ahead and throw out ther that I think marcus has just as much of a chance at making it as hayes does, maybe more. They will both make good acquistions though with whomever wants to pick them up.

I was told before last football season that Marcus Jackson had the overall chance at making it to the next level based on his skill set. Saying that, I hope they all get a shot somewhere.

Can anyone work out on the pro day or do you have to have interest by a team to work out?

Are there going to be pictures on facebook? Are you going to do twitter video like you did for Saturday practice?

Phil Steele had Marcus Jackson as the 15th best pro prospect in FCS in his FCS book last year. JJ was pretty high too but Marcus was the best pro prospect in the entire SLC.

Is this open to the public?

Should be, I went last year and stood right beside the the players who were going to run, but all they did was a 40 timing because we had no seniors.

One thing I remember was that they had to do alot of paper work and other stuff first so I had to wait around first. I wonder if the 2pm time is for the players to come and fill out their paper work and take their Wonderlic test.

Does anyone know if Andre Bevil is going to work out or if he is planning on playing anywhere? Arena, Canadian or anywhere else?

I don't think so, even if he wanted to continue in a lower level I think he would still need to go to the pro day, guys that don't make the cut in the NFL still probably need pro day numbers so they can be evaluated by those other leagues.

I'm surprised Jacody Coleman didn't come back this year, I think he could have made it to the NFL, the guy is a very impressive athlete.

Bevil? No chance.

Easy, man. Let's leave it at "no" and move on. He was a Cardinal too and I think he deserves our support. I'm not saying you said anything particular eye-opening or outrageous, but let's not beat the kid up over his tenure at LU.

agreed I'm glad Bevil came here, it's not going to be easy starting for a brand new DI team.

Mike just posted this video from the vertical jump, can't tell who that was.

Don't think it was JJ, might have been Darby judging from frame.

All of Marcus's speed and jump stats are very, very good. I think he might be the front runner of this group.

40 times. JJ. 4.81. Marcus 4.48 Darby 5.01. #bigredinsider

Damn, JJ really needs a better 40. That is not going to help him. :(

Maybe they will do 2.

The problem is they're using stop watches, and you can hear the "beeps" of the start and stop. Play around with a stop watch for any amount of time and you'll realize that they aren't super accurate when you're talking about fractions of a second. The stop watch may have read 4.81, but there's no telling what he really ran until it's recorded against multiple timers or a laser time.

Marcus Jackson runs 4.45 on second run, JJ runs 4.79 on second run.
