Im out of pocket tonight and likely for the first couple next week so anyone that attends post updates, pics etc for us. I'll be forwarding twitter feed from others that are there on our twitter page as well. Im interested to see if the offense improved since I went earlier this week and which players have the best practices.

Me and LU4LIFE were out there. The offense was struggling some, especially the starting OL. The back up OL did a great job, they moved the ball down the field with little resistance. Coach McKnight actually pulled Campbell and put in Justin Brock who was really impressive. Keep your eyes on Brock he could be a really good player. Out of the 3 QB's Johnson seemed to struggle the most, they all made throws that were off target but Jeremy had a few more then the other guy's. One that would of been a pick but the DB dropped it. The defense still looked good to me but there is always room for improvement. Blake Chavis hit QB Moss in the 7 on 7 drill and didn't participate in practice after that. Payden McVey was practicing and then just disappeared, there might be nothing to this but it seemed kind of strange. Maybe Mike can look into this when he gets a chance.

Yea I was impressed with Brocks play too. He needs to put on some more weight but from what I saw of him I was impressed. Kevin Smith must of got hurt because at one point of the practice he went into the athletic complex and came out with his pads off. I didn't see him wearing any kind of sling or anything like that so it might of just been something minor.

Word is Kevin Smith popped his shoulder out of place and then back in. Had ice on it for a while. His shoulders always seem to give him trouble. Tough break because he really works hard. Hope Payden McVey gets better soon. I was really impressed with him last year. I'm still liking how practice sounds really upbeat and everyone is so encouraging of each other. Can't wait for the season.

Friday Scrimmage recap

Sounds like coach Woodard was pleased with Berry's performance, that might have been the second OL group that you guys were talking about.

Woodard liked the effort of sophomore running back Duenta Byrd, who scored one TD and had several nice runs.

"Duenta did a great job today," Woodard said. "He's been working hard, and it's paying off."

Anybody know about Duenta? I'm guessing he is one of the walk-ons.

He's not even listed on the roster. He must be a walk on.

I'm guessing he was benched.

That makes sense if he hit the QB during practice.
