coachacola Posted April 18, 2012 Posted April 18, 2012 Chuck Langston was at home in the middle of a football field running practice. He had a whistle around his neck and furiously chewed a pink wad of Dubble Bubble. "That's a nervous habit I picked up from coaching," he said. Langston still chews the gum. It's the coaching he had to give up. The NCAA wouldn't let him do it. Now, more than four years after the University of Central Oklahoma fired him during an NCAA investigation over allegations of several rule violations under his watch, Langston, 39, works on Lamar's football staff. He has an office, but a set of double doors separates him from the coaches. That puts Langston, a 1991 West Brook graduate, closer than ever to getting back in the college game. But he's not all the way back. He is still not a coach. Link: http://www.beaumontenterprise.com/news/article/Langston-back-in-college-game-after-NCAA-3491286.php?cmpid=twitter Quote
