coachacola Posted June 9, 2012 Posted June 9, 2012 84 Days Coach Ray Woodard was selected in the eighth round of the 1984 NFL Draft by the San Diego Chargers. He spent the next five seasons with the Chargers, Denver Broncos and Kansas City Chiefs. He was a member of the Broncos' 1986 AFC Champion and Super Bowl team. Quote
LU1991 Posted June 9, 2012 Posted June 9, 2012 The Montagne Center, opened in November, 1984, is a showplace for Lamar University. Designed especially for the basketball program, the 10,080 seat arena serves the university's needs in various ways. The largest, single construction item in the 80-plus year history of Lamar, the Montagne Center was built in just 18 months (from June 20, 1983 through November, 1984). The facility originally seated 8,000, but capacity was expanded in 1985. The Morgan suites were added to the Montagne Center in 2010 and faces the football field. Quote

Lamarcard81 Posted June 11, 2012 Posted June 11, 2012 82 Days 1982 The beginning of the Ken Stephens era. Where can we tailgate at USL stadium? Quote
TBonesLU Posted June 11, 2012 Posted June 11, 2012 You might ask them on raginpagin.com. They're pretty cool. Quote
Guest Crawfish Posted June 11, 2012 Posted June 11, 2012 Tailgating at Cajun field is anywhere in the parking lot, however, the tent spots and the areas around the fence line on the west side of the stadium are reserved and rented by the season. There is normally a visitor tailgating area available, but I would advise just walking around and visiting some of the tents. The Cajun fans typically love to feed guests. I can guarantee that as long as you behave in a friendly manner, you will have a great time at the Ragin Cajun game. If you have never been to a game at Cajun Field, (or not been to a game in the last 10 years) you are in for a treat. These folks know how to have a good time. I previously lived in Lafayette for 25 years, and have been a Cajun fan as well as a Cardinal fan. (My daughter graduated from UL Lafayette.) When the Cajuns played the Cards in baseball or basketball, I always wore my LU stuff. My Cajun fan buddies would tease me when I did, but it would be much worse if I did not. :D They always had a good time with it. Unsolicited Advice: If you visit RaginPagin, I would avoid using USL to refer to the school, as they consider this a flame. Quote
Guest LU 17 Posted June 12, 2012 Posted June 12, 2012 Please don't mention Ken Stephens. I will get sick. Quote

Guest mendelj Posted June 15, 2012 Posted June 15, 2012 Sorry, missed out on posting on 80th day. Was waiting for that day to post and got too busy to get online. #80 J.J. Hayes was my favorite senior cardinal from last season. Ended on an awesome note setting two records in last game vs. McNeese. One for setting a single season mark for yards with 951, and for catching his single game record 14th pass from QB Caleb Berry who was playing on a broken leg at the time. Thanks for the memories. ;) Quote
