According to Chris Dabe, Tyrell Collins of Ozen will walk-on at Lamar as a defensive end.

Despite the losses we had at receiver and other positions, this should be our overall deepest team in many ways, especially on defense. Guys like this might not see the field or they may impact it directly, no way of telling, but one thing is for sure.

 

We will have injuries, and at least on the defensive side of the ball, we should have enough depth to cope well with those injuries this year unlike the last two years.

Last weigh is he was at 237, I think is going to play OLB not DE.

I saw a pretty big kid at practice last week with his parents. I spoke to them as I was leaving & they said that they hoped he was going to suit out & start practicing pretty quickly. Can't be the same kid as he was definately an interior lineman by his size and heavier than 237.

We might need someone like Tyrell to step up if its true that Beard is out for the season. That's not confirmed yet though.
