He's 6-4 215 lbs and had 51 catches for 628 yards and 5 TD's as a sophomore at Citrus JC in California. In his two seasons with Citrus he's second all time with 72 receptions.

Wow, we must have had alot more money than I thought or these guys are all getting partially scholarships.

Sounds like a good recruit, welcome aboard Oyesfeso!

Great size at 6'4! sounds like Coach Woodard has got himself another good wide out. This position has really changed for the better since the spring practices.

I CAN'T WAIT FOR FOOTBALL!!!

Where'd my post go? It was just coach woodards quote from the other thread?

"A fast wideout that has good size and is very physical. He also helps fill an obvious position of need for us."

Probably because you didn't get the quote from him like you said you did

A couple of tweets from Chris Dabe:

The juco coach for new Lamar WR B.J. Oyefeso says he is dangerous inside 20s. Sure handed. Seems like the J.J. Hayes mold.

That coach also said Oyefeso should put on another 15-20 lbs. w/ regular meal plan at LU. No scholarships, meals at Calif. jucos.

A good pick up at WR. I am sure all the QB's are excited to have a 6'4" WR and a 6'8" TE.

Can we give it a break now guys?

BTW, 6'4" will be our tallest receiver since Kevin Smith converted from QB to play WR.

After watching his YouTube video I'm excited about this pick up. He attacks the ball and looks to be a hand full to bring down.

Who dat, you know that you can put him on your ignore list right? I'm really thinking about it as he is really getting on my nerves with his childish insults and ridiculous posts that have nothing to do with the topic.

Sorry Pancho but grow up. I agree with you that with his size he could start right away. It's going to be fun watching Moss throw the fade to him in the corner of the endzone just like JJ and Andre.

From the Beaumont Enterprise:

Oyefeso is also the taller than the receivers listed on the depth chart, which lists Ford (6-foot), VanLawrance Franks (5-4) and Kye Hildreth (6-1) as starters.

"That definitely played a role," Oyefeso said of the thinned depth chart in his decision to pick Lamar over about 20 other schools ranging from the FCS to NAIA levels. "I wasn't interested in going anywhere and sitting behind anybody. Even if they had receivers coming back, with the opportunity they offered me, I probably would have taken it."

It sounds as if the recruiting has taken a big step up this year, all the guys on the team are talking about the opportunity and treatment they received when they visited Lamar. Very encouraging for this next year of recruiting.

I agree. It's very encouraging to see the positive feed back from players visiting Lamar, talking about the coaches, football facilities and campus. Of course, getting to play in Hawaii this year doesn't hurt.

I can't wait to see this guy on the field. Bring on some football!!!

CA I agree with you. It seems like all the recent signees keep saying how they got the red carpet treatment. Hey, let's treat these guys first class and let's play first class.
