I agree, but that's why you play the game. Quote
Guest LU 17 Posted June 26, 2012 Posted June 26, 2012 Be nice to compete, but I would rather just keep our team healthy for SLC play. Quote
JJWooten Posted June 26, 2012 Posted June 26, 2012 Be nice to compete, but I would rather just keep our team healthy for SLC play. That's the goal for most FBS/FCS matchups. It's a good experience for the players to travel (sometimes back home) and to play in front of a major crowd. Quote
Guest CardAmbassador Posted June 26, 2012 Posted June 26, 2012 Yeah, that's going to be an ugly one. I do like that we will be able to immediately gauge our offense and defense. Lamar really only played a 10 game schedule last year if you think about it. Texas College (last years opener) was not only barely better than a HS team, we also played them in 20-30 mph winds and rain, that game wasn't worth playing. Quote
Cplatt Posted June 27, 2012 Posted June 27, 2012 Im excited about the incoming Freshman, i think Washington at RB will be the staple of this program for the next 4 yrs along with WR Nelson. Cplatt Quote
coachacola Posted June 27, 2012 Posted June 27, 2012 I think the UL-Lafayette game will be a tougher game than the Hawaii game. We play UL-Lafayette to start the season and they're probably a better team then Hawaii. At least Lamar will have played a few games before traveling to Hawaii. Central Arkansas only lost 25-20 to them back in 2009 so I'm at least hoping for a competitive game. Quote
SFA Fan Posted June 27, 2012 Posted June 27, 2012 I think that writer has grossly overestimated "the bows". ::) Quote
